This policy explains what happens to information you provide through this website. It describes the site as it is actually built.
This website does not collect your data
There is no contact form that sends anything to a server, no account system, no newsletter, and no analytics or advertising technology.
The quote questions on the contact page run entirely in your own browser. Your answers are assembled into a WhatsApp message on your device. Nothing is transmitted anywhere unless you choose to open WhatsApp and press send.
If you send us a WhatsApp message
At that point your message — including your name, the work you have described, your location, timescale and rough budget — is delivered through WhatsApp and reaches DBL Contractors. WhatsApp is operated by Meta, and their handling of the message is covered by their own privacy policy, not this one.
We use what you send for one purpose: to reply to you about the work you have asked about, and to carry out that work if you go ahead. The lawful basis is your request to take steps before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in answering an enquiry you chose to send.
The same applies if you phone instead. We do not sell or rent your details, and we do not use them for marketing unrelated to your enquiry.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept for as long as needed to deal with your request and any work that follows from it, then for as long as normal business and tax record-keeping requires. Messages that do not lead to work are deleted once they are clearly no longer live.
Hosting
The site is hosted by Vercel. As with any website, the host keeps short-term technical logs — things like IP address and browser type — for security and reliability. These are not used to identify or profile visitors, and DBL Contractors does not analyse them.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, object to our use of it, or ask us to restrict how we use it. To do any of that, contact DBL Contractors on 07377 437054.
If you are not satisfied with our response you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes
If the way this site handles information changes — for example if analytics are added later — this policy will be updated to say so.
